The Government of India, vide Notification No. S.O. 1191(E), implemented the provisions of Chapter IV (Contribution), Chapter V (Benefits), and Chapter VI (Adjudication of Disputes and Claims) of the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 (ESI Act), effective from 1st day of April 2023, in all the areas of Gandhinagar district, in the State of Gujarat. Punjab government announced holidays for the year 2023 | ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ  ਸਾਲ 2023 ਲਈ ਛੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ

Deputy Commissioner Ms. Ashika Jain has directed all government and semi-government offices as well as private institutions of the district to write their signboards in Punjabi language (Gurmukhi script) before February 21, 2023.

Ms. Ashika Jain said that the Punjab government has started its efforts for the promotion of the Punjabi language and it has made it mandatory to write signboards in Punjabi in all government and private institutions before February 21 (International Mother Language Day). She said that in order to give priority to the mother tongue, the Punjab government has taken this decision. So, it is necessary to put up signboards in the Punjabi language in government and semi-government offices, besides boards, corporate offices, educational institutions, and public, private, and commercial establishments.

ESI Corporation, Hqrs. as developed a new feature for Registration of babies born in ESI Hospitals through Integration of Dhanwantri Module and Insurance ERP-Portal. This feature is prepared in order to facilitate inclusion of newborn babies of IPs/IW at ESI Hospitals in their respective family details in insurance module after verification from their respective employer. Which will facilitate IP/IW to avail ESI Medical facility for their newborn babies more conveniently.

After ESIC Hospital updates the details of the newborn baby against the said Insured Women ESIC Number, a request will appear in the employer portal as per the process shared

Kerala labor department has provided an online facility for filing annual returns under various acts through an integrated e-return form for variety of labor laws before 31st December of every calendar year,

It is a common platform for unifying returns and registration under various labour laws. It provides an ease of doing business to all the entities registered.

Acts under which integrated e- return to be filed: –

  • The Kerala Shops & Commercial Establishment Act
  • The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970
  • The Building and other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Services) Act, 1996

Procedure for sign up/Registration:-

  1. Enter your 14 digit registration number obtained from the labour office to generate a six digit One Time Password (OTP). OTP will send your registered mobile number.
  2. If your mobile number is not registered, please update mobile number with labour office
  3. Enter six digit OTP code to create username and password
  4. The password should contain alphanumeric and special characters, having a minimum length of 6 character and maximum of 14 character
  5. Press Confirm registration button to complete registration

As required under Business Reforms Action Plan 2022 the following services of application Licenses or renewal of such Licenses by Factories in Puducherry, Mahe and Yanam regions for engaging contract workmen under The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 henceforth will be provided through online mode only.

The services shall be availed through online mode only to eliminate the need to submit the applications physically, payment of fees for the services and track their status in each stage. On approval, the final certificate can be downloaded from the online portal anytime.

This will come into force with immediate effect and present practice of V’-‘l’ issuing signed copy of such Certificate(s) is dispensed with immediate effect, except those already applied and under issue with this Office

Maharashtra Minimum Wages 1st Jan 2022 to 30th June 2022

The Government of West Bengal on January 16, 2023, issued The minimum rates of wages for the employees employed in certain Scheduled Employments.

The following has been stated namely: –

• A normal working day shall consist of eight hours of actual work and not less than half an hour of recess, subject to 48 hours of actual work in a week

• The minimum rates of wages are applicable to the employees employed by contractors also

This is to inform you that in Madhya Pradesh, Municipal Corporation General Election voting will be held on 20/01/2023 for the 19 urban bodies voting will take place at:-

3. Barwani district– Sendhwa, Khetiya, Pansemal, Palsud, Rajpur, Anjad,
