Ministry of Labour and Employment appoints the enforcement date of the ESIC Act 1948 in all the areas of Mayiladuthurai, Vellore, and Ariyalur districts in the State of Tamil Nadu.

The Ministry of Labour and Employment on August 31, 2021 has issued the enforcement date of various Sections of the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 shall come into force on September 01, 2021. 

The following Sections are namely:

• Chapter IV (except sections 44 and 45 which have already been brought into force)

• Chapters V and VI (except sub-section (1) of section 76 and sections 77, 78, 79 and 81

It shall come into force in all the areas of Mayiladuthurai, Vellore, and Ariyalur districts in the State of Tamil Nadu.
